National Talent Academy in Animation Cork | Photography Coverage

I provided photography coverage for the National Talent Academy in Animation event, held in Cork in collaboration with Screen Cork.

The event brought together speakers, guests and industry professionals, with a focus on discussion, learning and engagement within the animation sector. Coverage was centred around capturing both the structured elements of the programme and the more natural interaction throughout the day.

Group photography of speakers and organisers was prioritised early, ensuring clear and consistent imagery of those involved in the event. This included spokespeople and invited guests, where well-composed images are important for press and promotional use.

The programme included panel discussions, Q&A sessions and group segments, which required a more observational approach. These moments were documented in a way that captured engagement and interaction without interrupting the flow of conversation.

Candid coverage during breaks focused on guests interacting with hosts and each other, providing a more natural view of the event environment. These moments often reflect the atmosphere of the event more effectively and are widely used across social media and internal communications.

The presence of Nora Twomey, an internationally recognised animator, added further significance to the event. Ensuring strong, usable imagery of key figures was an important part of the overall coverage.

The final work delivered a balanced set of images, from structured group photography to candid interaction and audience engagement, providing a practical and consistent visual record of the event.
